UNN STUDENTS REACT- #UNECISUNN #UnnAmeboh (Blossom Sandra)

Wait a minute, lemme get this.
Some UNN students be like, "We no dey have water and light issues? We don protest?"
And you think you are doing good  by that. You think things are ever gonna change with that attitude?
We are so lame here at UNN, starting from our SUG down to any one of us who thinks we shouldn't stand with UNEC on this.
It was never planned to be a "riot". It was a harmless sit-at-home action aimed at boycotting school activities indefinitely as part of the #NL-NL (No Light, No Lectures) protest action initiated by the SUG.
It was followed by a peaceful protest round the school.

Things started getting awry when the DVC threatened to rusticate the SUG officials for stagnating school activities. UNEC students in a loyal but a little too radical move reacted by going on an unorganised.  protest during which some took things to the next level and became violent,  destroying school properties in the process.
Now, UNEC SUG has been suspended, indefinitely. The school has been shut down, nindefinitely. And there problems remain unresolved, indefinitely.
UNEC is small, the can be easily exploited. Yet, they stood up to their oppressors. Here, demonstration in only held in response to issues happening outside UNN (The Nimbo Killings).
Now all we are asked to do is to show the school authority that we are aware of what's happening at our sister campus. All we need to do is have a certain period of deliberate inactivity. Solidarity can do a lot things. Our own plight can get a sooner attention. The school authority knows clearly the incitive effects of elaborate interaction between the two campuses. That is why no program is ever organised which gives ample opportunity for joint activities between students of either campuses (Inter-Campus sports tournaments maybe)
We can do this, it may be more difficult to achieve here cos of the bigger size. But if all those who get to know about this get to support the cause, I bet you, something would be achieved. Posterity would remember us for this. Just a passive rebellion, that's all. A week boycott, days of quiet solidarity march, anything. Let them know we no go gree.
The Struggle Continues.....
